Bili-blanket

Thank goodness for the bili-blanket!!! Anna has Jaundice, (DJ said she looked like an Oompa Loompa) And we had a scary few days, but now thanks to the bili-blanket she is starting to improve. She is so sweet and loves to sleep..during the day...at night she loves to be awake. She is adorable and we are so happy to have her. Sammy loves her...he keeps kissing her and saying..she's so cute.

Moving...again

So we are moving about a block away from our current apartment. The crazy thing is I will be just over eight months, about 37 weeks as we move. (CRAZY!) We decided we wanted to save money and move to a smaller place. I will miss my kitchen..sniff..sniff. When we decided to move I do not think I realised how pregnant I was going to be. I just hope this baby does not come early!!! WE are excited about it, and don't even have to change wards!!!! Wish us luck!

New Job

DJ changed jobs this week. After saying goodbye to Kohl's and the life of a Retail Manger DJ has started working for Galileo Processing here in Salt Lake City. He works just past the airport off of I-80 now. DJ will be one of their Customer Service Managers for their call center. We are excited because we were able to use his call center jobs and his management jobs to roll into one position. DJ will be working a more fixed schedule now mainly M-F with an occasional weekend.

Sammy is getting so big. He is two and a half and everyone thinks he is older. He surprises me everyday. I hope he will be a good big brother...he is so used to being the only child, it will take some adjustments.
Anna is so active, she is kicking and moving all the time. I only have 11 weeks left!!! I am finding chasing a two year old is exhausting when you are six and a half months pregnant But is is so much fun right now. I am a little scared to find out what two will be like.

Graduation We did it!

On the 15th we finally made it and DJ graduate. We went down the day before and it was nice to see all of our friends at Wymount again. DJ got his Bachelor of Arts in Latin American Studies.

For those of you who are super observant you will note that DJ's robe is not black. Thursday night while Sharon was watching TV she noticed that the people on TV were wearing Blue Robes. She mentioned this to DJ who stupidly blamed it on pregnancy eyes and something along the lines of somebody would have said something if the color changed. Well as you can guess she was right. We ran over to our old neighborhood and were asking anyone that we could find if they robes were black or blue. Everyone seemed to think that they were black. Finally our old neighbor's the Ellars came walking by in blue robes. Then we knew DJ once again had been victim to ignoring Sharon's well placed spiritual observations as paranoia. In an effort to be cheap I had borrowed a robe from my brother in law that was black. After a long hour or two determining that we could not get a robe that late in the evening we tried to sleep. Since my graduation was at 7:30 in the morning I was worried about what I would be able to find.

We ended up going over to the faculty rental and bribing them with a credit card. $40 later (and a much happier wife) I had my blue robe. Later we figured out that we had left our credit card there and had to go back for it. It was action packed few hours and I matched everyone else.

The Wheels on The Bus

Sammy has been learning the words to all of his favorite songs. His nursey singing leader is very good and has inspired his new notes along with the help of his mommy.

Jan the Van

For all of you out there who have been wondering.... Yes we needed a bigger car for the new baby. Meet Jan the Van . She has two sliding doors, 15 cupholders (but only seats 7), She has all of the newest safety features side and curtain airbags for front seats and both back row seats. She also has a secret cargo department that the seats collapse into. We are hoping she can take Mario Maxima (see the Packers latest addition) out for a ride.
Sammy calls her Chia (that is sammy speak for Kia). He loves being able to look out all the windows and see the cars go by.. best of all she has tinted windows so it doesn't get to sunny in the backseat. We did discover one of Sharon's hidden talents negotiating with Car Dealers. If you need a good deal on a car give her a call. Her I'm tired and I'm pregnant with a screaming two year will beat down any salesman on the block. Of course that might work for anyone that decided to keep their 2 year old and pregnant wife in dealership with a broken air conditioner for 3 hours.

We are having a girl!!!

We had our 20 week ultrasound today. And it is a girl! We have really been excited and wanting a girl this time, I have been eyeing all the little pink dresses. She will be expected around December 2, 2008.
She is really active ( I knew that long before we saw her squirming around on the monitor) I keep thinking I am nervous..but the butterflies are just the very active baby.
Sammy is so cute about the baby, he was so excited to see the ultrasound photo...saying "Hi Baby." We play a game where I wrap up one of his stuffed animals and pretend it is a baby. He is so sweet and soft with it--kissing and whispering to the "baby." Then he gets bored and throws it on the ground. We need to work on that part.
We are so excited...and it was really good that it's a girl..I was almost in tears yesterday because we could not think of any boy names at all. (I cry a lot more since being pregnant-movies I've seen a hundred times now bring me to tears)
Now I have to go on a hunt for pink...if she is ever going to compete with Sammy for toys, clothes, and just "stuff."

We are finally Done!

Well after alot of hard work on David's (DJ's) part and even more work on Sharon's part we are finally done with our classes for BYU! We will be going to graduation ceremonies on August 13th. Hope to see you all there.

New Job

We are so excited! David (DJ) will be working for Kohl's Department Store as a Managment Trainee. He will work for six months in training learning the aspects of Kohl's and then if all goes well he will be moving on to a full blown manager at a nearby store. Part of the reason we picked Kohl's is because of how cute their clothes are. Check out their website for good deals. http://www.kohls.com
